Giving Back

I’m incredibly grateful for all the opportunities I’ve enjoyed in life. My parents worked hard to send me to college. At the age of twenty, I was elected to the Rhode Island Senate. After two decades in office, as I was preparing for life after politics, I wanted to find a way to keep giving back and have a positive and sustained impact on society.

I shared these thoughts one day over lunch with my friend, Steve Rosa, President and CEO of (add)ventures, a successful branding and communications firm headquartered in East Providence, RI. He was kind enough to share his experience and insight, and during this lunch, AxisActs! was born.

AxisActs is the firm’s philanthropic program. Every year, we dedicate 1% of our gross revenues to supporting grassroots organizations that make positive and sustainable social impacts in our community and the world at large. Our clients and financial advisors know that 1% of the fees for our services are being donated in their name to support organizations in the communities where they live, work and raise their family.

Since AxisActs was founded, we have donated more than $48,000 to organizations that make an incredible difference in the lives of so many. Below, you will find the names of some of these many organizations.  We are committed to doing well by doing good and providing care, comfort, and opportunity in our community.

All the best,
